Light bulb data for low voltage products are based on manufacturers' published information recalculated at approximately 12 volts for 12 volt systems and 23 volts for 24 volt systems. All Sea Gull Lighting fixtures are engineered to meet or exceed the standards set by the National Electrical code and are listed by ETL and Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. Each product is tested in our state-of-the-art facilities. At this time, there is no American National Safety Standard for light bulbs. Maximum light bulb wattage are specified in our catalog for all lighting products. Heat emitted from various manufacturers' and distributors' light bulbs may vary significantly and operate beyond acceptable limits. Sea Gull Lighting is not responsible for this occurrence unless the Sea Gull Lighting supplied brand light bulb is used. Our random testing has shown the General Electric, Osram/Sylvania and Philips brand light bulbs operate within acceptable temperature variations.
