About this Series:
You won’t need two tickets to paradise with the Islander ceiling fan. Inspired by the worldwide travels of Fanimation founder Tom Frampton, it adds an exotic vibe to spaces ranging from cozy sunrooms to grand-scale hotel lobbies. Like a dream vacation, the Islander lets you make all the decisions before you kick back and relax. You select the motor color, the blades and options, including lights, accessories and remote controls. Motor finishes include antique brass, bronze accent, oil-rubbed bronze, pewter and rust, and some are rated for damp locations. Next, take your choice of six tropical-cool blade styles, including carved wood, woven bamboo and stunning leaf motifs, including mango, natural palm, Chinese palm and oval palm. (Note that the blade sweep will vary from a generous 68 to 80 inches, depending on the style you choose. We wish time-shares were this flexible!) With six forward and reverse speeds controlled by a hand-held remote or an optional wall unit, the Islander can gently caress the senses or persuade you that a hurricane is imminent. Thanks to a DC-powered motor, the Energy Star-rated Islander consumes 70 percent less energy than a conventional ceiling fan, and like all Fanimation fan motors, it’s protected by a limited lifetime warranty.) Sloped ceiling? Not a problem: the Islander can handle up to a 30-degree slope. Say aloha to unconventional cool with the Islander.
